Epoxy pipe lining is a technical solution that allows restoring sealing and protecting the internal surface of pipes without the need for demolition. By applying a continuous internal coating, it is possible to seal small cracks, ageing joints and areas with loss of watertightness, reducing leaks, infiltration and progressive deterioration.

At REVIPOX, this process is always preceded by CCTV inspection and technical assessment. Before recommending epoxy application, we evaluate the actual condition of the pipe, its geometry, access points, level of degradation and adhesion conditions.

How the lining process works

1. Inspection and cleaning: the pipe is inspected with CCTV and prepared by removing deposits, grease, debris and loose materials.

2. Controlled drying: the internal surface is dried to reduce moisture and improve adhesion conditions.

3. Epoxy application: the coating is applied in a controlled way, by brushing or spraying, creating a continuous internal layer.

4. Curing and final check: after curing, the result may be verified by CCTV inspection to confirm coverage and consistency.

When to choose local repair or full lining

The choice between a local repair and a continuous epoxy lining depends on the overall condition of the pipe and the extent of the detected defects. When there is a single crack, a leaking joint or a localized issue, a targeted repair may be sufficient.

When multiple defects are present along the pipe, or there is general wear and risk of further leakage, a continuous lining may be more appropriate. The goal is to protect the internal surface and improve functional performance without replacing the pipe.

Technical limits of epoxy lining

Epoxy pipe lining is not a structural repair solution. It does not correct misalignment, deformation, collapse or significant loss of material. In such cases, a structural solution such as CIPP or another appropriate intervention may be required, depending on the actual condition of the pipe.

Typical applications

Epoxy lining can be applied to wastewater pipes, rainwater systems, internal branches and vertical stacks, depending on material, diameter, access and condition.

It is particularly suitable for occupied buildings, residential properties and commercial spaces where demolition would cause significant disruption.
